Guild BOM finished -- well almost!

My guild BOM from about 3 or 4 years ago is now going into the finished pile -- although I do lack the binding but that will be sewn on today and hand stitched at my sew group meeting Thursday.
I made one block and then 11 other guild members each made a block so they are not always an exact 12" block.  There is a little fullness in some of the blocks but I like the way it turned out.  I would use the log cabins to set another sampler together.  I really like the way it looks.  I used Hobbs wool so it is pretty puffy.

Fun, fun, fun

I have some rulers that I have never used.  Just didn't take the time to learn how to use them and I'm probably not using them right now but I like how they are turning out.  This is the nautilus feather border ruler by Sheri Wood (bought from The Quuilter's Rule).
This is the Nautilus long tail ruler (small size) (Again from The Quilter's Rule by Sheri Wood).  I just like the shape of it.

The feather done with The Circle Lord:

And curved cross hatching with Ranae Haddidin's ruler:

Let's see how many tools I can use on this sampler quilt!

Longarming again

I think I've gotten my creative mojo back -- I'm hoping anyway.  I have had Linda Mae Diny's ruler for years and never used it so I am playing with it today.  I like the results.  The fabric is busy so it doesn't show up as much as I would like.  What do you think???

Ahead of the game!

I have taken a week off with absolutely no longarming!!!  My creativeness just completely left the planet.  Hopefully, it will return next week.
But, in the meantime, I am completely up-to-date on my The Quilt Show BOM!!!!   Now I have the rest of the month off.  16 baskets are finished -- only 8 more to go.   And some more of the curved pieced border.
And I started my Boot Scootin' Boogie quilt (cowboy boots).  I have six of them made.  I'm a Texan (you know, you can move from Texas but you are ALWAYS a TEXAN!!).  This is a pattern from an old, old Fons & Porter magazine which I have saved and I have been collecting cowboy fabrics for years.  So maybe this is the year it will come to fruition.

Doesn't this just make you want to do the Texas Two Step?????
Or ride a horse???  (Well, not me -- although I would love to be a cowgirl, I am afraid of horses!!)
