Barb's Yellow Pinwheel

Lots of quilting space on this one:

Lots of ruler work on this one.  Barb has twin sisters-in-law and she has made each a quilt using the colors of their baby quilts.  I have one more to do.   It's a green pinwheel.

Halleluiah!!!!!!

I put this quilt -- Granny's Irish Garden -- on the longarm on Christmas Day.  At last it is finished!!!!!
Granted, I didn't quilt every day, but it was a slow process.  Now I just need to put the binding on.  It is my quilt which I started in summer 2014.

I loved doing the GFGs and really like the quilt.  Used up lots of my scraps -- I think it was like 20 yards of fabrics.

Tease and a Little Snow

With AQS in Paducah coming soon, I thought this might be a warning to everyone so they do not touch the quilts:
I do not want any of my friends put on the "chain gang"!!
I have been working.  This quilt is 108 x 112" so it is taking me awhile.  This is about 3 weeks ago.  I am now almost -- well, I'm getting there -- finished.  Will provide more pictures then.

This is an Irish chain with GFG applique.  I really, really like the quilt!!

Oh, we got a little snow a few days ago.  Here is a deer and a few crows enjoying some corn:
They look like specks but they are there.
Enjoy Super Bowl this weekend!!

Another Vintage Quilter is smiling!

Pat, my niece, found this lovely top at a flea market or antique store.  The baskets were hand pieced but the sashing was sewn on by machine.  Wonder if two people worked on this?????  But it is now quilted and ready for binding.  Whoever made this has to be smiling to know that someone cared enough to finish what she had started.  Geez, I feel sorry for those who have to finish all my UFOs but I will definitely be smiling to see them finished!

I recognized (yes, I am that OLD!!) some feedsacks in the baskets so it has to be before the 1950s.

Hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Urban Nine Patch

I had to try a pattern by Jenny Pedigo (I think that is her last name) of Sew Kind of Wonderful using her curved ruler.  This is my Urban Nine Patch:

This was on the longarm much too long but it is completely finished.  I made a faux piped binding using some of the solids.  I'm pleased with it.  It is a happy quilt.
Thank you, God, for providing us with a sunny day.  We have had clouds for-e-v-e-r!!!!
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

Gifts & Zach's quilt

Bruce (my nephew) and Roxanne came by yesterday and this is what they brought me!!!

They made the reindeer and my rooster hanger.  Love them.  Goes perfect in my country home!

I made our grandson, Zachary, a quilt and pillow for Christmas.  Since he doesn't look at my blog, I feel safe posting a picture.
Hope everyone has a blessful, peaceful Thanksgiving!
