Well -- finished except for the hand stitching the binding to the back but my good friend, Nancy, is going to do that for me. So that makes two of my quilts in the finished category this year.
Yep, I took all the pebbling out that I had started on this quilt and did the grid backgrounds instead. And here is my label:
One quilt finished per month. Can I do this for the rest of the year????
What a fantastic quilt! I love your background gridwork and the butterfly circles on the borders. Really, really neat to have this family group-effort piece.
Wow! Your quilting is phenomenal! Love the grid design, and the circles, and the squares/fill in the butterfly squares! You must have spent a lot of time on this!?!
It is wool batting but I don't know if it is Hobbs or Legacy wool. It was on the machine so long! I had the end of Hobbs and a new roll of Legacy so it could be either one. Thanks for all the comments.

ReplyDeleteThe grid work is just beautiful. I really love the effect. I have got to do more of this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting (and great to have some 2012 finishes). I'm curious about what batting you used.
