My niece, Paula, made this quilt -- her version of a Kim Diehl quilt. So, so pretty!!
This is Mike's (Paula's husband) grandmother's DWR. It was hand pieced and I did have a few issues and there are a couple (well, maybe more than a couple) of tiny pleats because of the fullness. But I think his grandmother will be very happy to see it quilted.
Love the back, too. Hope Mike & Paula are pleased with it.
Now, I have this big bucket of scraps that I am going to turn into a string quilt. Stay tuned to see how this pile is transformed.
Have a blessed day!
Wonderful quilts!
ReplyDeleteYou get to work on the funnest quilts. :) What is the batting in the DWR?
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts have Hobbs 80/20 which is what I use 90% of the time.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job on the DWR. Reading your current posts, you are getting to a lot of your own quilts too!
