Some More Eye Candy

I have a few more quilts finished.  Here is another of Barb's homespun flannel quilts.  I use this star a lot.  It is in two of the quilts today..

This is a quilt I put together for my step daughter.  Sister Connie at St. Ann's in Bartlett, TN is retiring after 40 years of teaching.  She taught my step daughter first grade and now, her last year, is teaching my grandson.  Sister Connie is a BIG Notre Dame football fan, so I did a cable with little footballs on one side and Xs and Os at the top for hugs and kisses.  Each of the kids did their on block and I had a picture of the whole class with Sister Connie which is in the center.  School colors are red and blue.

Yep, the star again!!
And Barb's cute Dresden plate.  I love Dresden plates.

I have one row of my carpenter's square quilt finished.  Everything is stabilized but now for the detail work.  This is a couple of the finished blocks.

Now for an update on my chickens -- you know the six HENS!!   Well, surprise, surprise, two of them are roosters!  This was taken this morning at 5:00 a.m. so the lighting is not real good.  This little hen and one rooster love to get up on this roost so I can pet their bellies -- do chickens have bellies?  Maybe it is just breast.

My sister-in-law said that my Mom is smiling now.  She loved all animals and we always had chickens.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
