Another Vintage Quilter is smiling!

Pat, my niece, found this lovely top at a flea market or antique store.  The baskets were hand pieced but the sashing was sewn on by machine.  Wonder if two people worked on this?????  But it is now quilted and ready for binding.  Whoever made this has to be smiling to know that someone cared enough to finish what she had started.  Geez, I feel sorry for those who have to finish all my UFOs but I will definitely be smiling to see them finished!

I recognized (yes, I am that OLD!!) some feedsacks in the baskets so it has to be before the 1950s.

Hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

  1. What a fun finish! Yeah - the tops hanging in my Flimsies closet are multitudinous. It's my life goal to get those and the stored kits worked through and then keep a manageable number of WIPs at a given time :)
