LeMoyne Star Finished!

After a month on the LA, it is finally finished -- well, except for the binding.  It is a large quilt but yard work took a lot of my time.  I'm just happy it is finished.
I always second guess what I did -- on this one, why didn't I do curved crosshatching around the stars.  Not all of the squares came out even so I had to make the decision whether to do another sewn line or leave a wide space.  I chose do add the line because the wide space really drew attention.  I NEVER have to worry about making a mistake because only God is perfect!!  I would be happy if I could just have ONE mistake per quilt!  I have enough fabric to make pillow shams to match the quilt.  That is my next sewing project.  But tomorrow is a day of rest -- I'm going to the AQS in Paducah tomorrow and back again Friday.

  2. Have a great time in Paducah! Your LeMoyne Star quilt is truly stunning! I made one and found the piecing quite challenging. The ruler work you did to make all those grids took lots of time, but oh what a wonderful reward! It's one you can be thrilled with every time you gaze at it. Thank you for admitting that this one took a month to quilt. Sometimes, I think I'm really slow with all my projects. But with gardening, carpooling kids, working outside the home, fixing dinner occasionally, .... it's hard to make fast progress with quilting.
I, too, am grateful for the grace which comes from our perfect God and His son!
